#BeTheChange2017

Alzheimer’s Australia invites you to the 17th Alzheimer’s Australia Biennial National Dementia Conference. The conference will provide a unique opportunity, in this time of unprecedented change, to transform the way we think about dementia. The conference will inspire delegates to explore more innovative and creative ways to improve the quality of life and support of people, of all ages, living with all forms of dementia.

The program includes a diverse range of local and international speakers who will touch, move and inspire you to ‘be the change’ in your area of expertise. Interactive workshops and other sessions will provide unique opportunities for you to share your experiences with others as well as develop practical skills and insights. Presentations will challenge you to ‘be the change’ that is needed both in Australia and globally to better support people whose lives are impacted by dementia.

The number of people living with dementia worldwide will almost double every 20 years, reaching 131.5 million in 2050. We are acutely aware of the need to act now to better prepare our communities for this impending challenge. Join Keynote Speakers Naomi Feil Executive Director, Validation Training Institute, USA; Christine Bryden Author, Dementia Advocate and Prof Dawn Brooker Director, Association for Dementia Studies, University of Worcester, UK with Master of Ceremonies, Assoc Prof Alan Duffy Research Fellow, Lecturer in Physics, Swinburne University. Come to Melbourne in October 2017 for an event that will shape care for people living with dementia into the future.
