We were approached by this client when they had been seeking an S&OP Manager for Australasia for a number of months to no avail. This was a critical role for this business as it seeks to drive toward operational excellence in a very price sensitive market place where there is little room for error when it comes to customer service.
The company had sought the support of an international leading professional recruitment consultancy however the Supply Chain Director who was after all this time was now frustrated by the poor quality of candidates they had been seeing.
The Supply Chain Director briefed Kingscroft on a Thursday. To be successful the S&OP Manager would need a business and people influencing capability way in excess of the technical competence in supply chain required at this level. It was essential that we had a sound understanding of these desired attributes to ensure a strong fit between candidate and client.
Through a search through candidates and contacts we had in this industry sector and related sectors Kingscroft identified, qualified and secured the interest of 2 candidates and provided their details to the client in 2 working days.
After consultation with the client one candidate was preferred and put through the company’s recruitment process and successfully recruited into the organisation.
Successful completion relied upon;
- Our understanding of the client’s business need
- Assessing the culture of the company
- Recognising the challenge for the person in the role
- Identifying suitable candidates and understanding their capability and career needs
- An ability to rapidly interrogate our networks and connections to find these people.
